Dad’s Wigeon Urn

My client Travis, shown in the picture with his daughter contacted me not long after his father had passed away.

He was absolutely certain that a Wigeon Urn was perfect to commemorate his father's life, spirit and memory. We discussed different poses, Paint scheme etc.. One item that was of utmost importance to Travis was that the Urn be completed in time for his father's memorial service.

We finalized the design and I was able to get to work on it. It came out exactly as we had planned. Plus it was completed in time for the service. Travis and his family were absolutely thrilled.

He was able to take it on a hunting trip with his daughter not long afterwards. A day or two later I received the photo along with the text.

"Hey Jode just wanted to say thanks again man. Pretty awesome to still take my Dad out hunting especially with my kids. As soon as I put him out within seconds a huge flock of mallards came over and dropped 5 out of the flock. Was a pretty special moment to share with my daughter!"

It is these kind of special moments are exactly why I make my urns.

Hopefully Travis will have many more memorable hunts with his dad by his side.
