Premier Hen Shoveler

This Hen Shoveler is made as a decorative slick. That refers to a decoy with maximum painting detail on a well carved decoy base. I made it by special request from a local collector. (New Jersey) He already owned a similar drake that was carved for the world Championship during the 1980’s. The artist who made that bird is now in their 90’s and no longer makes full size decoys. I was honored to take up the challenge. I hope you enjoy seeing the detail that I added on this unique decoy.
