The shorebirds on this page mark some of my favorite efforts in carving. I
have always admired the grace and subtle beauty of these birds while watching them in the marsh.
My goal is to make shorebird decoys in the finest
traditions of the craftsmen of yesteryear and in keeping with those traditions,
these decoys are hollow carved and feature removeable dovetailed heads. The bills are hand carved, inletted, hardwood.
They are painted in oils and come with unique handmade bases (see bottom of page) depicting natural habitat or
of finely polished wood.
